Abstract
High frequency of flood damage and decreasing of development pressure lead to a high requirement and possibility of changing the structure of urban area through land use regulation. Also in the affected area of Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, land use regulation is being introduced for the risk management of Tsunami disaster through land use. The aim of this study is to clarify the actual situation of usage of land use regulation against flood disaster and its effects and problems (chapter 2), and of land use regulation against Tsunami disaster and its effects and problems (chapter 3).
