Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose a supporting system for working non-architecture professionals of various backgrounds who aspire to tap into architecture, enhance their lifestyle and housing literacy thus eventually becoming a full-fledged mature citizens within the framework of ICT-advanced university distance learning. The survey and analysis conducted on students shows the evidence that the combination of formative courses employing manipulative scheme and comprehensive courses which offer diverse architectural viewpoints will be most effective for such architectural introduction. The methodology of the proposed WEB-based learning portfolio parallels the architectural process of integrating unrelated fragments on its way to a final production.
