Abstract

New structural systems and distinctive architectural designs that make the most of bamboo's material characteristic  The purpose of this prototype is to establish a new structural system and distinctive architectural design that makes the most of the material characteristics of bamboo. The “three-way lattice system,” which was devised to create a rigid structure without the use of nails or hardware, is a construction method that can be freely assembled and disassembled, and can be connected, expanded, and disassembled. Students design and construct the system. Students will perform the construction by hand. This will be a demonstration that architectural structure space can be created easily and freely without special skills or experience.
