Abstract
Parbendazole (methyl-5-butyl-2-benzimidazolecarbamate) was examined for anthelmintic activity against natural infection with gastrointestinal nematodes in cattle. A total of 30 cattle were divided into 3 groups. That compound, as a feed additive, was administered to 2 groups in a dose of 30 and 40mg/kg, respectively. The other group served as control. Judging from the number of eggs recovered from feces, the compound was proved to be very efficacious.
