The means and standard deviations and standard values of total cholesterol, β-lipoprotein, and neutral fat were 144.46±43.98 and 56.50-232.42mg/dl, 91.62±25.70 and 40.22-143.02mg/dl, and 37.77±9.28 and 19.21-56.33mg/dl, respectively, when estimated in healthy house dogs selected from among 297 dogs subjected to a hematological screening test by the RABA system.
The standard values of the three substances were about two times as high in 20 house dogs affected with obesity as in those healthy dogs. They were a little larger in 14 house dogs affected with emaciation than in those healthy dogs.
