Abstract
Adome-shaped tumor with the irregular surface 33×24×12mm in size occurring at the tip of the maxillary region in a 13-year-old castrated male Shih-Tzu was histopathologically diagnosed as malignant melanoma and subjected to premaxillectomy for removing the entire tumor. No severe postoperative complications were observed except for some sneeze and nasal discharge. For 10 months postoperation, the dog has no local recurrence and metastasis.
