Abstract
In a 9-year-old male rabbit, a thumb tip-sized osteolytic tumor appeared on the right hind-limb and it was clinically, cytologically and histopathologically diagnosed as malignant giant cell tumor derived probably from the synovium or soft tissue. No recurrence of the tumor was observed after operation, but the animal showed anorexia and died 11 months later. Fine needle aspiration biopsy seems to be useful for diagnosis of this tumor.
