This paper surveys visualization technique for image browsing. The paper mainly introduces visualization by reconstructing image information. The reconstruction including reordering or still and moving images, and extraction of high-level information from the images. This paper especially introduces visualization of human activity applying such reconstruction techniques.
Also, the last section of this paper discusses future direction of research on image browsing. The section discusses how image browsing differs from other visualization techniques, and how we can explore our future directions with abstract concepts of visualization studies.
