The entrance flow patterns from the reservoir into the capillary and into the two dimensional duct were visualized using a dye injection streake line method in the cases as follows;(1) The flow from the reservoir into the capillary for polymer solutions.(2)The flow from the reservoir into the two dimensional duct in stratified two-component flow of polymer solutions. (3) The flow from the resrvoir into the capillary for fiber suspensions in Newtonian fluid and in solutions. These entrance flow patterns were classified. In particular, it was found that secondary flow occured in the capillary flow of fiber suspensions in Newtonian fluid.
