Flow patterns around a obstacle setteled between walls in a parallel channel were investigated using a oil film visualization in air flow. A mixed ratio of the oil film was adjusted until flow patterns were observed very clear for each experimental condition. Several flow patterns around various obstacles were observed, such as a counter flow in front of the obstacle, a horseshoe vortex around it and a wake flow in rear of it. Experimental results also compared with the results of numerical simulation. A region using the oil film visualization was extended to lower air flow than the usual value.
