Motor vehicles are employed for both commercial and personal use.
Motorization has brought increased traffic volumes, accompanied by a dramatic increase in motor vehicle numbers. This has produced environmental problems specific to regions or cities as well as general global warming. To maintain a stable automotive society to the 21st century and inhibit global warming, there are many requirements incumbent on the transport sector, especialy road transport. This article describes, with the use of a puff model for the calculation of exhaust gas from road traffic in cities, the pattern of exhaust emission and diffusion for five regions in Japan.
