The flow field around a waving wing is visualized and measured, and the relationship between the flow pattern and the wing motion is considered. The motion of waving wing consists of the parameters such as frequency, amplitude, phase delay and the wave shape of periodical motion. The fish-like propulsion achieves the high efficiency by combining the optimized combination of the parameters. In the previous report, the flow fields under several typical motions are measured by PIV systems. Present paper describes the new algorithm of PIV for the high-resolution measurement, and the system is applied on the series test of wing motion. The new system enables to analyze the detail of the flow field and the change of the flow pattern for the increase of phase speed of wing motion is considered.
