The Tokai area is one of big foothold in Japan with a large number of manufacturing industries and many universities and national research institutes for advanced research and development in the science and engineering field. In this article, the activity of Tokai Branch of The Vacuum Society of Japan, which is newly established in at 2012, is briefly introduced.
