The growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes was attempted by hot-filament assisted CVD using Pt catalysts. The growth experiment was carried out in a mixture of methanol vapor and Ar gas that contains 3 % H2. Single-walled carbon nanotubes were obtained after the growth at 580℃ for 30 min. RBM peaks in the Raman spectra were observed at 160 cm-1, 224 cm-1, 264 cm-1 and 280 cm-1.
