It is required to clean and identify emitter surfaces for obtaining a highly spin polarized electron beam by field emission. In this study, we fabricated an emitter tip by using Heusler alloy Co2MnGa as emitter material which is expected to have perfect spin polarization at the Fermi level. We will present field ion micrographs of the surface structure of the emitter cleaned by the hydrogen promoted field evaporation and spin polarization of field-emitted electrons from the surface.
