Abstract

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) were grown using nanodiamond synthesized by hot filament chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. The diamonds commonly used for SWCNT growth are synthesized by high- temperature and high-pressure methods, and their crystal orientation is various. Therefore, for future chirality-controlled growth of SWCNT, we attempted to grow SWCNT from diamond synthesized by hot filament CVD method, which has the potential to control the crystal orientation of diamond.
