Abstract

It is expected to use a perovskite crystal structure for the solar energy conversion devices, because it has a strong absorption in a wide range of visible light. In order to construct the atomically structure-controlled MAPbBr3 (MA = CH3NH3+) perovskite ultra-thin films on the solid substrate, in the present study, the gold single-crystal substrate, the self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of 4-aminothiophenol (4-ATP), and the layer-by-layer immersion technique were employed as a substrate, a linker layer between the substrate and the perovskite films, and a preparation method, respectively. As a result, the surface x-ray diffraction (SXRD) analysis showed that we succeeded to control the crystal structure and the growth direction of the MAPbBr3 perovskite ultra-thin films on the gold single-crystal surface via the 4-ATP SAM with an atomic dimension.
