Investigation on correlation between Drop-Weight tear test and Charpy impact test for high-pressure gas line pipe of small diameter

Abstract

Drop-weight tear tests, Drop-wear tear tests with nonflattned specimens, and Charpy impact tests were conducted on various small diameter line pipes. Based on these results, the toughness correlation between shear-area transition temperature for DWTT specimens and for Charpy specimens was clarified.
