Abstract
It is recognized that joint fatigue strength is influenced by stress concentration derived from toe shape. This report reports the development of "Plasma-Arc Hybrid Welding Technology", which is the combination of plasma and gas metal arc welding, enabling stable bead formation and toe shape control as well as efficient single pass welding.
