Japanese "omotenashi" concept has the mental background such as social reciprocity beyond profitability involved in the meaning of "service". The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is promoting the successive managements through integrating "omotenashi" into the business since 2012.
The project, "Selection of "omotenashi styled managing companies" which the author is participating as one of the committees, is focusing on the companies with "good fulfillment of employee's potential", "fostering interaction with regional community" and "providing highly value-added goods / services to customers with full of their loves and trusts". These companies are highly valued as "tough excellent" ones by this project.
This paper clarifies that the common characteristics of selected 50 companies justify the result of surveys on excellent companies pursuing to realize good management toward all prospects of employee's satisfaction, customer's satisfaction and corporate performance through the related many coverages in long terms. Then any companies are shown to have potential to become an excellent company or "omotenashi" styled managing company.
