Normal glcmerulus was studied with electron microscope by means of ultra-thin sectioning. This experiment was performed with the kidney of dog.
The findings obtained may be summarized as follow:
1. There is no basement membrane between the mesangium and the capillary lumina.
2. The three dimentional structure of the process-like structure was discussed.
3. The endothelial layer might have the interruption in physiological condition.
4. Nomenclature of the fine structure of the normal glomerulus was given.
