Large Eddy Simulation, which is one of the most promising approaches to the analysis of turbulent transport phenomena, is applied to turbulence plane Couette flow. The number of computational grid points is 30×30×25, and the Reynolds number, based on the wall speed and the wall distance, is 1.5×104. Mean velocity profiles and turbulence statistics are calculated and compared with available experimental results. Furthermore, the effects of the Smagorinsky constant on the micro-structures of trurbulence and spanwise spacings of the streaks are discussed.
