In a car under summer solar radiation, it is well known that temperature become very high and is found to be over 90 degrees C on the top of the front dashboard and also air temperature around the driver's seat were over 65 degrees C. Thus, a ventilation system is one of the important ways for keeping comfortable thermal environment of a car cabin. In the previous paper, numerical model of the parking automobile under summer solar radiation have been developed. Numerical simulations were conducted and the temperature distribution was examined in cases with- and without -ventilation. Further, numerical results of the model were compared with the measurements conducted in summer using a sedan-type car. In this paper, we have conducted additional numerical simulations of the cases with ventilations and examined the ventilation effect and its dependencies on the inlet flow directions and velocities of the inlet duct for more efficient and smaller flow rate. The results show that temperature mitigation rate highly depends on the inlet flow directions, particularly at higher inlet flow velocity cases.
