Acrylic fibers are mainly produced by a wet spinning method. Acrylic fibers have a number of features of insulation, bulkiness, clearness staining, chemical resistance, weather resistance, hydrophilic and lipophilic; it has been used in a variety of applications. Acrylic fibers for industrial materials are used as filters, wipers, and tape-substrates. In recent years, more beneficial functions of acrylic fibers have been required because of the growing interest in environmental issues and the increasing demand for comfort and functionality of consumers.This paper introduces the development status of the latest acrylic fibers: the functional deodorant fiber kneaded a special deodorant in the spinning stage, "CUTELYTM" and the composite spinning core-sheath acrylic fiber by a wet spinning, "COREBRIDTM ", which is the only in the world.
