Abstract
Imidazopyrazinone derivative related to Cypridina bioluminescence is a chemiluminescence substrate which is useful to detect reactive oxygen species. To advance the technology with imidazopyrazinon chemiluminescence, we have examined the reaction mechanism and chemical modification. In this study, we pay attention to phenyl group working as a pi conjugate substituent, and investigated chemiluminescence of imidazopyrazinones having phenyl group(s) at the C5, C6, and C8 positions. We report here the effect of an introduction position and a substitution number of phenyl group(s) on chemiluminescence character.
