Abstract
Polyacenes which consists of linearly aligned benzenes are applicable to produce interesting organic electronic materials such as organic FET and LED. Polyazaacenes, which are the nitrogen-atom containing analogues of polyacenes, are also expected to be utilized as organic electronic materials. In this study, we investigate spectral and redox properties of quinoxalinoquinoxaline derivatives and their 5,12-dihydro compounds. In addition, new stable radicals with the quinoxalinoquinoxaline skeleton have been synthesized, which exhibit good electrical conductivity as a single-component organic materials.
