Abstract
Albino rats fasted 48 hours were fed with 1-14C-oleicc acid, 1-14C-linoleic acid and 1-14C-palmitic acid, to daily determine the radioisotope activity of saturated fatty acid, monoenoic fatty acid, and dienoic fatty acid in the depot fat. Each fatty acid decreased to approximately the same degree. Changes in the radioisotope activity of monoenoic fatty acid were not influenced by the addition of linoleic acid. Based on these results, there appeared to be no differ-ence in the translation speed among palmitic, oleic and linoleic acid in depot fat.
