Parastasia melanocephaloides Ohaus, 1900 has been recorded from Sumatra (Ohaus, 1934; Machatschke, 1972; Kuijten, 1992; Krajcik, 2007). Here, I record this species from low land of the Malay Peninsula for the first time. This species was collected by a bananatrap for butterflies.
