Osaka Labor Archive is a private library which holds museum materials and documents. We are holding the primary resources of labor unions and social movement organizations gathered for compilation of “Osaka social labor movement history”,but in 2008 the subsidy of Osaka prefecture was abolished. Since then financial conditions are extremely severe, and 80% of the income is dependent on donations. In order to make use of materials and leave them for the next generation,we are working on digitizing a number of contents and creating a database by organizing projects with researchers. In this paper, after outlining the entire resources of the archives,we will mainly introduce the contents and databases that can be used on the Web. Also,we will describe the issues of digital archiving, and also present the prospects for future digitization projects.
