Fluoroalkylated oligomers with carbon-carbon bond formation were prepared by the reactions of fluoroalkanoyl peroxides with acrylic acid and ethylene oxide units-containing methacrylates. These fluorinated oligomers were found to be soluble in hydrocarbon oligomer solutions. The fluorinated oligomers reacted with the usual epoxy and melamine curing agents to afford the curing films. These films exhibited surface properties typical of the amphiphiles.
