Numerical Analyses and Experimental Results of the Injection-Compression Molding

Abstract

Numerical analysis of injection-compression molding is done by using two models. The first model is the Hele-Shaw flow model that ignores compressibility, and the second is the corresponding model that involves compressibility and cavity thickness changing. Good agreement was obtained between the results of the numerical analysis and real injection-compression molding.
