UNIFORM VIRUS-LIKE PARTICLES FOUND WITHIN THE PROSTATE CANCER CELLS IN MAN

Abstract

Some interesting results were obtained by light- and electron microscopic investigation of human prostate cancer cellls. There were the f ilamentous structures with the diameter of 450-500 Å and the length less than 3.6 μ and the filled globular particles of which interspace was 10 Å and arrangement was like crystal. The diameter of the globular particles was similar to that of the filamentous structure. This type of particle is supposed to have certain correlation to papova virus group which is a DNA virus, when viewed from its shape or structure.
