In recent years, citizen runners have been rapidly increasing in Japan. There is a category of“barefoot running”in such a running boom. This paper examined the difference between wearing shoe and barefoot, coexistence nature of barefoot running. The aim of this paper is to examine the possibility of barefoot running to develop a Kyosei society. The foot has many functions in itself(shock absorbing function, supporting function, propulsive function, etc.). The shoes are limited motion of toe and decreased cutaneous sensation on the sole of the foot. There is a possibility that can not take advantage of these functions. The style of barefoot running that utilizing the fullest extent of the foot function, unlike the style of wearing running shoes, it is necessary to absorb the shock in the whole body, not just lower extremity. Trying to run barefoot, it is possible to improve the body sense of the whole body from toe to head by devising the body control. Improvement of the body sense there is a possibility that results in a change the inner psychological mindset. Barefoot running, not only sports and exercise, coexistence with myself, coexistence with others, Kyosei with society, would say thus also harmony with the earth.
