喉頭科学のすゝめ ―地方大学の音声外科医が伝えたいこと―

抄録

Otolaryngology encompasses functional surgery, with treatments that directly influence patients’ quality of life. Laryngology is field of study that continues to offer opportunities for learning and remains appealing to the it author even after spending 10 years as an otolaryngologist. This report describes how the author aspired to become a laryngologist and introduces the transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) and endoscopic laryngeal microsurgery using local anesthesia, which the author worked diligently on. We hope that many young otolaryngologists will be interested in laryngology and will work together.
