The materials described here were obtained by the authors during the summer of 1964, the spring of 1965 and 1966, the autumn of 1966and the summer of 1967. The record of the following species may be worthy of attention; Papilio memnon heronus (Yonaguni Is.), Pieris rapae crucivora (Taketomi Is. and Yonaguni Is.), Pieris canidia (Yonaguni Is.), Appias lyncida formosana (Yonaguni Is.), Jamides alecto dromicus (Yonaguni Is.), Chilades kiamurae (Kuroshima Is.), and Tacoraea perius (Yonaguni Is.). Among these species A. lyncida and J. alecto are new to the butterfly-fauna of Japan
