Abstract
A male specimen of Simplicia ryukyuensis Sugi was captured at Ibusuki, Kyushu, on August 18th, 1971 by Mr. R. Tokunaga. This species has been known only from Amami Islands and the Ryukyus (Amami-ohshima, Tokunoshima, Okinawa, Miyakojima and Mimami-daitohjima), and this is the northernmost record of capture.
