Abstract
Towards the end of March in 1968 the author visited North Thailand to collect butterflies. It was in the midst of dry season. Most leaves turned yellow and trees shed their leaves as they do in autumn in his country, and so it was difficult to find a suitable site for collecting butterflies. The author could not gather many because of the short-term expedition there. In this report the author deals with Lycaenidae only. All of the specimens were captured by himself, hence the author left out the name of the collection in the following description. The places were as follows: Chom Thong, Mt. Huay Khao, Fang and near the border of Burma. Before going further, the author wishes to express his hearty thanks to Mr. T. G. Howarth, Mr. C. F. Huggins and the other staff of the British Museum (Natural History), Mr. Akito Kawazoe and Mr. Syoichi Iwanaga who gave kind advices and facilities for investigation.
