Spermatogonial mitosis and meiotic metaphases were observed the males of P. phoebus and P. eversmanni wosnesenskii from Russia and P. delphius namanganus from Kyrgyzstan. The chromosome numbers of these taxa are 2n=58, 59, 60, n=30, n=29 in P. phoebus, 2n=58 in P. delphius namanganus, and P. eversmanni wosnesenskii.
