Abstract

A new species of the family Lycaenidae, Deramas jasmini sp. nov. is described from southern Sulawesi, Indonesia. This new species is the largest in the genus Deramas and is distinguishable from the other species of the genus by its wing markings and male genitalia. This is the first record of this genus from mainland southern Sulawesi.
