The solid-state pressure sensor to be attached on a catheter-tip will be an essential element of closed loop automatic blood pressure control system. Its confidence, stability and durability was examined on long-term ambulatory blood pressure monitoring for every heart-beat in free moving rats. Blood pressure could be recorded continuously for the duration of two to thirty hours in ten animals. The sensor need still be improved because of baseline drifts which could be serious.
