New phase of e-business on cross border trade

Abstract
The documents history of cross-border trade has approximately one thousand year, especially, after the Industrial Revolution the trade volume was accelerated. Recently Information Technology is applied to Customs and drayage systems. In Japan new trial to receive imported cargo within 48 hours from 72hours was commenced in 2003. On the other hand, USA started e-Customs from the standpoint of security chain management. e-Customs scheme is introduced slightly at the beginning and gradually enlarged in 5 years. Japan has to keep pace with e-Customs system of the U.S.A.
