Generation of Multi-Phase-Conjugate and Non-conjugate Waves by Coherent Resonance

Abstract

This paper describes the generation of multi-phase-conjugate and non-conjugate waves in two or three beams incident into a coherent resonant two level system. The generation of these waves is shown by theoretical analysis using a multi-wave optical Bloch equation and confirmed by the experiments using a dye-laser and Na-vapor system.
