Abstract
Harassment in an organization is a violation of human rights that threatens the rights and dignity of others by taking advantage of positional difference. Harassment consulting is a service in which advocacy practice is the main focus in terms of responding to human rights violations. Many of the university harassment consulting offices employ clinical psychologists as harassment consultants in order to meet the needs of consultees who are confused by the victimization. However, a problem arose in that the conventional approach of psychologists, who responded only from the perspective of psychological care for individual victims, became inappropriate as a harassment consultation. This paper discusses how the emphasis point of psychologist harassment consultants, has changed from psychological care of individual victims to advocacy practice, using the theoretical framework of
macro-counseling. The importance of research in this area is demonstrated in light of the recent focus on advocacy competencies of clinical psychologists.
