Abstract
This paper reports on the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services provided by the Aoyama Psychological Development Counseling Center to various companies and organizations. The EAP is a system designed to support employeesʼ mental health through a dual approach focusing on both individual assistance and organizational development. In this practice, a wide range of support activities has been implemented, including individual counseling for employees with mental health difficulties, return-to-work support for those on sick leave, individual interviews for new employees, the administration of stress checks and follow-up interventions for high-stress individuals, as well as preventive seminars. Through these multifaceted efforts, the program aims to promote the primary prevention of mental health problems, prevent employee turnover, and improve workplace environments. The paper outlines the specific methods of these practices and discusses the significance of EAP in contributing to both corporate organizations and their employees.
