The authors’ proposed prediction method for the statistical creep failure time of polymer composites using the statistical static strengths of polymer composites measured at various temperatures based on Christensen’s model of viscoelastic crack kinetics is applied to the evaluation of statistical tensile strengths of resin impregnated carbon fiber strands (CFRP strands) in this study. Two kinds of CFRP strands molded by different cure conditions as molding condition are prepared. The effect of molding condition on the statistical static and creep strengths of CFRP strands are theoretically and experimentally discussed. As results, it is cleared that the proposed prediction method is separable for the slight effect of cure schedule as molding conditions on the statistical static and creep strengths of CFRP strands, and as a result has high accuracy and reliable.
