Abstract

It is shown that 21 monolayers of Manganese films grown on Cu₃Au(100) at room temperature have an uncompensated layered antiferromagnetic structure that show a deviation from this configuration due to structural imperfections. In some areas of the film a p(2 × 2) magnetic super-structure was observed on the surface.
