2022 Volume 63 Issue 4 Pages 407
The aim of this issue has been focused on materials which are supporting intelligent society by IoT and archiving SDGs, and their processing, nano-/micro-analysis, measurements of physical properties and application of data science. Those materials contain advanced and fundamental metals, alloys, ceramics and other functional materials.
For this purpose, the 15th International Conference on the Physical Properties and Application of Advanced Materials (ICPMAT 2020), has been postponed to the autumn of 2021, and, finally, held on 18–19, October 2021 by online sponsored by Czech Academy of Sciences and supported by University of Toyama, Japan. Articles in this special issue were mostly selected from presentations in this conference.
ICPMAT is held on every year to achieve the sharing and integration of research information with different materials science fields. This is also an important factor in the materials informatics, and we are confident that it will lead to the creation of new materials.
Finally, the guest editors of this issue are grateful for all participants in ICPMAT2020 and the authors for this special issue.
