Asahi Kasei Corporation, the first inventor of ion exchange membrane technology developed the ion exchange membranes F6800 series which were suitable for zero–gap electrolysis and high current density operation. F6800 series were introduced as very brand new technology which settled following technical issues. The first is improved anolyte supply between anode and membrane surface. The second is durability against brine impurities. The third is higher temperature resistance of membrane surface. Asahi Kasei keeps developing the membrane to meet the further customer ' s requirements.
