Zeolite membrane filters are energy–efficient inorganic separation materials for solvent dehydration, particularly effective near azeotropic compositions. Owing to molecular sieving and selective adsorption derived from their crystalline structure, water molecules preferentially permeate through the membrane under a water vapor pressure gradient. CHA–type zeolite membrane filters exhibit high dehydration performance and chemical durability. By selecting appropriate operating modes, such as pervaporation or vapor permeation, and optimizing module configurations, flexible and energy–saving dehydration processes can be designed for a wide range of solvents.
