Abstract
Poly-xylyleneadipamide was used to castasymmetric porous semi-permeable membranes using formic acid as solvent and m-cresol as swelling agent.The reverse osmotic characteristics of the membranes was investigated.The economical application of this membrane as R. O. membrane does not seem feasible but as ultrafiltration membrane seems promissing in the circumstances of high temperature, high or low p H and severe conditions.
